![]() If the private SSH key is misplaced or lost, you cannot SSH into the ESXi host. To SSH into the Oracle Cloud VMware Solution SDDC compute instance or ESXi hosts, the default method is to use a private key matching to the public key that was provided during the provisioning process. If for some reason the keys are lost, you can enable password based login to the ESXi host and replace the SSH Keys. During the deployment of the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), you must provide a SSH key pair which can be used to SSH into the ESXi hosts.
